CAUTIONARY TALE Jan 05, 2012 By Lil Butchie
Yuk it up folks, but I have 4 of these badboys that I wear on a constant rotation. This is no fashion statement, but a catalyst for a cautionary tale that I like to tell to keep our children safe. This is a bona fide true shark story and not for the faint of heart, so if you are prone to nightmares, hysterics, phobias and such, please stop reading now.

Like most rational people, the actual chances of you getting killed by a shark are very, very low and statistically you are thousands of times more likely to be killed driving to the beach than by any sea creature. I would say this platitude routinely until the day it literally came back to bite me in the ass.

The year was 2004, and I was swimming off Caswell Beach minding my own business when something struck my leg in the water. The water was murky so it was difficult to see, but it was whitish and rubbery, the size impossible to say for certain, but quite large and bulky with a generous girth. I froze, but when it flopped back up and I saw it's ugly head rear from the water I fled. I don't expect you to believe this, but this great white had a single slit for an eye, and I swear to you there was cold blooded murder reflected in it.

I fled for shore, and a general panic ensued on the beach. People gathered around me shocked and intimidated by what they had seen. TO BE CONTINUED.

I was looking for an ironic or a "joke" shirt that my husband would like for his birthday. This shark shirt was his favorite birthday gift. The shark is really "in your face." The image is crystal clear and huge on the front just like the web site shows. The navy shirt is a cool dark blue, kind of a tie-dye pattern. My husband normally wears a 2x but some 2x shirts from the internet can run short, so I bought the 3x just to be sure since he likes to tuck in his shirts. The 3xl is perfect, not snug and plenty of length to be able to tuck it in easily. He wears this shirt everywhere. It's a good thing I think it is funny, too, otherwise I'd probably be insanely embarassed. Love it! A previous poster mentioned that it doesn't have a tag, but I didn't see that as a problem. Many shirt companies these days don't put tags on their shrits that are sold online. That is normal. No big deal.

Quality-made T-shirt with true-to-life image. I've purchased a couple of shark T-shirts made by The Mountain, and this is one of the best I've gotten. I bought it in size XL and while it looks a little big, I figure it's 100% cotton so it might shrink a little when washed. It has a tie-dyed affect to it and it looks super! I recommend it to anyone who loves sharks or animal-image T-shirts in general. By the way, great price and service from the seller (The Jungle Store).

I got this shirt for my step-son, who is shark obsessed! It is a gorgeous deep blue tie-dyed material, and has a HUGE shark on the front that reminds me of Jaws :) He LOVES it, I can't get it off of him. Thanks for the kick-butt shark shirt! :D
