"Metrix Fit" is Great for Shorter Inseams Feb 23, 2008
By Byron K. Powell The biggest benefit and selling point of these pants is the "Metrix Fit". What IZOD has done is make the rise of the pant (distance between the waist and crotch) in proportion to the inseam length. Short inseam = short rise, long inseam = long rise.
These are perfect for guys with shorter inseams who normally have the problem when they buy other pants that the rise is too long, the pants are baggy and the back/bottom of the leg hits the ground and wears out. You may be tempted to go with a shorter inseam so they don't hit the ground, but you will probably still have baggy pants. I have a 31" inseam (that is rarely available) and 32" Dockers used to have the best fit since their inseam is slightly shorter than others, but the back of the leg sometimes still hits the ground. IZOD's Metrix Fit with a 30" inseam fit great. The legs are just at the right length (barely - I wish they made 31" inseams), don't hit the ground, and most importantly - they are not baggy at the crotch. Great fit, great quality, great pants!

Good pants Jan 25, 2007

The pants seem to be good quality, but I've only had them 1 month. They fit well and were as described. I would recommend.

Great dress/work pants-Great combo in a pair of pants! Nov 14, 2007
By D. McAllister I work in a very suit and tie, corporate office setting, but I also find myself doing strenuous, sometimes dirty, projects for this position. These pants are very durable, and look very dressy at the same time.
Izod = Good :)

pants wearing in the seat Aug 05, 2009
By Ed I know this may get a little personal, guys, but I have also had the problem of great pants (Izods and others) wearing out in the seat. I puzzled for a long time: bad pants, rough office chairs, ??? Finally figured out that my ballistic nylon briefcase, slung over my shoulder, was rubbing precisely on the corner of the back pocket where my wallet stretched the fabric. Pretty esoteric, but if it saves someone from discrding a pair of otherwise slacks, this note is probably worth the electrons.... And I am about to buy another pair of back-to-school Izod pants.

Great pants but dont last long Nov 22, 2008

i am on my third pair of pants. They wear great, fit great, wash great and feel great. I love them, obviously or I wouldnt be on my third pair. My biggest problem with them is that they wear thin and eventually tear at the right seat pocket. This pair was less than ninety days old and I noticed a slit right across the bottom of the pocket. The pants are like new except for this wear at the pocket. I cant afford to keep buying them when they last less than ninety days. If they would last and not tear on the right seat pocket, I would have to give them five plus stars. I cannot say that I will replace my last pair with another pair of this brand.
