5Duffel Bag  May 22, 2010
I bought it because picture looked great, when I received it, it was the best looking Duffel bag I've ever seen. Very classy for me to carry(woman) So good to look at and holds so much, my college aged grandaughter scuffed it away from me when she came to visit..I'll need to buy a second one.

3Size matters & It's basically a Backpack!!!  May 13, 2010
My job requires me to spend three days away from home and because of that, I was looking for a a very large bag that I could pack my stuff in. I liked the look of this and all the extra pockets so I bought it. Turns out, it wasn't what I expected. This bag is about equal in size to a large backpack. Had I not just replaced the backpack I'd been using, this could have been a happy mistake because it is one awesome backpack.

If you are looking for a large backpack sized bag for you gym stuff with compartments for other things, it would make for a decent bag.

If you want a light pack to throw on your back for a short outdoors trip, it's the right size and appears very rugged.

If you are looking at this for the reasons I was, go elsewhere.

4Solid, Reliable  Apr 21, 2010
A gift to a very nice young man. Sturdy, roomy and not too shabby looking. A good asset in most type of circumstances. Hopefully to be used over and over for a long period of time. He seemed to like the gift but we did not conduct a survey of his impressions so once again I based my decision to purchase on the fine reviewers that bless amazon.com with their opinions and ratings. 4 Stars.

5Great Bag  Mar 09, 2010
I have owned this bag for about 3 months now and it has taken some abuse. I use it to carry my clean clothes into work and dirty clothes home (I work out and then shower at work). Plenty of room for your clothes (I am 6'3" with size 13s...main compartment holds my stuff and the shoe compartment has plenty of room for my shoes). Not too big, in my opinion. I use the bottom compartment for my pants (folded in half). Only downfall, in my opinion, is that I wish the side pocket was actually two smaller pockets but that is my personal preference and some people might not like that it does not have a space for a water bottle but with the various sized water bottles (32oz, 20oz, 16oz, etc.), kind of hard for High Sierra to plan for that. Bottom line: it is a great bag and has withstood 3 months with a Marine beating on it and it has yet to show any wear & tear. I would buy again without any hesitation.

5Worth the money - nice duffel  Mar 06, 2010
The High Sierra Colossus duffel is well constructed, with plenty of compartments. The end compartments exand inward, and provide good isolation for dirty or wet clothes. It is easy to carry, and the color scheme is consistent with other High Sierra products. It actually matches a backpack I bought ~2 years ago as my carry-on for air travel. I have not owned the duffel long enough to judge durability, but my backpack has done quite well despite some rough handling. Well worth the price!
