Description

Verve is an awesome yoga and rock climbing line out of Colorado. Male yogis have been buying and loving their products for years! Verve uses all organic cotton in their garments, and their clothing is proudly sewn right in Verve's hometown of Boulder, Colorado (i.e. not in China or any other developing country!). Designed specifically for yoga practice, the Hanuman Short features a smooth, wide, 2 1/2" waistband and an easy fit - not skin tight, but not baggy. Finishes at mid-thigh. 88% Organic Cotton / 12% Lycra. Available in black and steel.

Everything a yoga short should be Mar 09, 2008 By IITian
While searching for a yoga pant for men , I stumbled upon this short made by a small company Verve based in Colorado. While researching the product and the company I happened to read an interview of the founder and it impressed me a lot. Not only was he a famous climber, but his passion for fair trade, human rights and customer satisfaction were obvious. These shorts are made from organic cotton and lycra and made right here in the USA in Colorado, I assume, by somebody getting decent wages.

I tried it on today for a class and the fit and technical excellence were very obvious. Truly a professional quality apparel. It looks good too. (I can be vain sometimes! Well, make it most of the times.)

It covers everthing that you don't want to be seen in public. However, many American males are comfortable only when the shorts reach nearly up to knee level or more, and Verve makes yoga and climbing (can be used for yoga) pants and knicks for them.

Incidentally, this morning I ordered Versa's Man knick too for more stylish color and longer coverage look for gym and outdoors.

I'm a male yoga instructor and are very happy with these shorts. I need to wear good looking clothing, prefer to have fabrics rather than the synthetics used in most athletic clothes, and prefer shorts to long pants. The length is perfect. Most importantly, they move as I move and stay in place comfortably. A bit pricey but worth it for made in U.S.A. quality.

These might possibly be the most comfortable shorts ever made. I am a big guy 6'3", 225# and am in good shape but I would would never consider wearing lycra to yoga class or the gym. I haven't gotten into yoga (yet!) but I can see where the fit, cut, flexibility, and "weight" of these shorts would be perfect. I find the XL to fit perfect for me and the legs are long enough that they don't "ride up" all the time so that you have to keep pulling the legs back down. I use them for workouts both alone and under lightweight workout shorts in lieu of compression shorts and they are incredibly comfortable for just lounging around the house. I thought that they might be hot but they seem to breathe very well, they are stretchy enough to "move with you" not hampering flexibility, and although the cotton is absorbent it dries pretty quickly. The material is thick enough and the cut is loose enough so that even when worn alone you aren't walking around with your "goods" on display but yet they are supportive enough for weight training and aerobic equipment in the gym and I'm sure even for the yoga they were designed for!

I have one pair that I've used for over a year that show very little sign of wear and I just bought another pair of shorts and also a pair of the pants for when things get colder. Great product, great design, quality materials, great value. Buy 'em!

Love these shorts, They have a great fit and are very lightweight. The only small problem i have is that they sometimes ride up my thighs a little but other than that these shorts get the job done.
