Sturdy. Leather Key Wallet Jun 19, 2008 By M. Whitley
This is a sturdy, well-made key wallet with key hooks and a special key ring for one or more keys that can be removed via a snap. This is a tri-fold wallet with several compartments, including one large enough for holding dollar bills unfolded. The only reason I gave this key case 4 instead of 5 stars is because it is larger than I wanted, but this is a solid, quality product.

Everything's fine with the wallet, except the key clips, which are sort of the point of getting it. They literally fell off while putting the keys on. Do not buy if you need it for storing keys. REALLY useful for not getting your pockets ripped, but not much fun if the keys keep falling off.

Found exactly what I wanted after years of searching dept stores. It was just a fluke that I was looking at Amazon keyed in keyholders and hit enter and there it was. Just what I had asked for for b-days and holidays.
Great color selection as well.

The leather key wallet is nicely made with both a card holder and a small zipper pocket, nice to carry extra cash.

However, the key ring design is unsatisfactory. The metal attachment to secure the key is made from a type of brass that does not have sufficient "spring strength" so that the latching action does not stay secure. I have had the key wallet for eight months now and have been fortunate to have found those keys that have separated from the wallet.

Would not recommend this item in its current design.

I purchased this key wallet after noticing that my keys were rubbing a worn spot through my pants. Using this has put a stop to that problem though I can't help but think that this particular item is trying to be too much at once.

It has a coin purse, space for 6 keys up top and a detachable key-ring for your car key, slots to hold your driver's license and a credit card or two, and features a paper money pocket as well. If you try and use all of these features at once it soon becomes too bulky to close and I couldn't help but feel like I was going to end up snapping any card I put inside.

Also, I have removed the extra key-chain from the wallet because I just couldn't find a good way to use it while keeping the key attached to it inside the wallet.

I did initially find that some of the hooks for attaching keys were very tight and were difficult to unfasten until I finally resorted to a pair of pliers.

All-in-all I really do like this key wallet though I find I have to fight the urge to put too much into it. The leather is soft and seems good enough and the craftsmanship seems to be good as well. I would recommend this item but I can't help but wonder if they couldn't have made it more slim by not trying to pack so much into it.

*Update*
After a year and a half of carrying this with me to work five days a week it has held up nicely.
