The best shirt Jun 10, 2010
By Subash Raman
"An Urban Monk"
This is easily the best travel shirt money can buy. It dries quickly, is wrinkle-free, lends itself to being worn over a couple of days without looking any the worse for the wear, and has a nice stylish feel to it.

Great Shirt, but expensive. Jul 26, 2011
By f1soccerhockey This is a really great shirt. If money is not an option...get it, you won't be disappointed. The side vents really make the shirt.
However, if money is something to consider, take a look at the WorldWide Sportsman Grande Banks shirt, it is available at Bass Pro Shops.
I own 1 AirStrip Lite and 2 Grande Banks shirts. They have almost identical characteristics: both have three position sun collar, fabrics on both feel the same, both have roll up sleeves with tabs, both have billows pockets with security zipper, both have the utility tab, both have vented backs, and both are button down collars. Both shirts are VERY durable, I have been on multiple climbs/hikes with the Ex Officio and it took it like a champ. I have gotten in a motorcycle wreck (I was riding the bike) with the Grande Banks on: it didn't tear, was dirty...but washed out and looks just fine now. Both shirt are easily hand washable.
The differences are that the Grande Banks shirt is made with Nanotex and will repel water and stains. This shirt also has TWO side vents where the AirStrip Lite has only one.
The AirStrip Lite however has a cool little function where the back vent can be looped around a small tab in the back and basically expose the back. The Grande Banks does not have this; it only lacks the little tab on the back to loop around. If someone added this on their own, it would be the exact same as the AirStrip Lite.
The best part is that the Grand Banks at full price costs USD 29.99. I have never seen a new AirStrip Lite at that price.

Excellent travel shirt Jan 06, 2011
By Gregory C Sharkey I think these are the best shirts available in the travel wear genre. They work well in all climates, but are especially useful in hot weather, esp in places where sun protection is a must. The side openings really do allow heat to escape. The shirts always look neat and trim when touring around in an urban setting. They come in lots of colors. The security pocket is a great plus; as is the sleeve rolling system. Easy to wash by hand and dry overnight. I recommend that they NEVER be put in a dryer, though. All the seams pucker and the shirt simply never looks as good again. No need to use a machine. Just hang it for a few hours.

ExOfficio Men's Airstrip Shirt May 26, 2009
By John Olhoft Excellent for hiking during the heat of the day. A must to help keep you cool AND comfortable. I've bought several more for hikes that last more than a day. Highly recommended.

Great shirt, bad sizing... May 17, 2010
By EHinLA I was told by ExOfficio that this shirt runs large. I am a "small" large - if it runs large, generally it will be too big for me and I go down in size. The medium in this shirt was far too small through the chest and arm so I kept the large. I am slender/average through the chest but have larger shoulders. I weigh #150 and am 5' 9". This shirt is very well designed, in many ways, but, after use, the sleeves were too short for me, even though I washed it in cool water and did not dry it in the dryer - it still shrank!! :( I am returning the two that I bought. If it fits you it will be great. Be careful though! I have shirts by Sportif that are similar - wonderfully designed. I have mediums and they fit very well, even after washing. ExOfficio said they will take the shirts back and give me a credit - that is very fair of them and I do appreciate the good customer service.
